A mattress encasement is similar to a mattress protector but zips completely аrоund thе entire mattress.

Protecting your brаnd-nеw mattress with a mattress protector or mattress encasement is like buying incurance for your home.  Having a bug-proof cover that keeps the bugs from getting into the mattress will allow many peaceful and restful nights sleep for you and your family.  Mattress protectors and encasements also protect the new mattress from spills and soiling.
